I began playing guitar in 1972 at age 10 after being inspired by the guitar greats of the era. While playing in the rock and jazz bands during my teen years, I began exploring other styles especially classical guitar.

Soon after graduation high school in Bennington, Vermont I went to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.  While at Berklee, I dove heavily into jazz and classical studies while continuing to perform in my top 40 band.

Upon graduating Berklee, I moved to New York City where I spend much of the 1980's teaching guitar and performing in my original rock band while also playing countless venues on classical guitar.

In 1988, I re-located to central Florida where I have been teaching and performing non-stop.
